I have been struggling for time to write up things for the Maple Town Compendium blog but I have some good news. I was able to contact Rebecca Forstadt, the English voice for Patty Rabbit! I asked her some questions and she was nice about answering them. The interview is on my blog. mapletownanime.blogspot.com/2018/09/q-with-rebecca-forstadt.htmlStill, that does leave questions. Rebecca was unable to confirm how many episodes of Maple Town she recorded dialogue for; we still don't know if all 52 episodes were dubbed into English. Rebecca also claims to have never heard of the sequel Palm Town or recorded any dialogue for it. Either the series was not going to be imported to North America or plans were cancelled before a dub could be arranged. Anyway, check out the interview!

That's so awesome that you were able to get ahold of her! It's also very nice that she still remembers as much as she did about working on the show.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that no Palm Town episodes were ever dubbed in English. It might have been the plan when the 65 episode package was proposed, but it seems they never got that far. Although it would probably have been treated as still being part of the same series. Even if Rebecca was slated to voice Patty in those episodes, she might not have taken any special notice of it being a different series.
The question still remains if the last 13 episodes of Maple Town exist in English. Palm Town is mentioned in the last two episodes when aunt Jane visits, but I don't expect Rebecca to remember a small detail like that after all these years. The best way to find out might be to tell her about some of the plots of episodes 40-52 and ask if they sound familiar to her. If she can remember Patty's aunt visiting and Patty leaving Maple Town, any episodes centering around a visit from a pen friend, ice skating or Bobby knitting a muffler for his mom etc.
Either way, great interview! Keep up the good work!

I did get two more leads. When I shared the blog on Reddit in the 80s cartoons section, someone commented on the interview with Forstadt. They told me to try contacting two of the producers who worked on the English Maple Town dub, Beth Broday and Winston Richard.
That may be trickier but I'll see what I can do. I'd also like to find Steve Kramer who voiced Wilde Wolf.

I say go for it, they may have more information on the episodes than Rebecca
