Straight from the Hope-Rabbit family album comes the never seen before childhood photos of Patty and Ann! Enjoy! Patty at age one. Born in the Fashion Capital. Patty received her ear ornament from Ann. Patty at age three. Papa gave her her first peppermint candy, she loved it! Patty at age five. Helping her papa deliver mail, she made a lot of mistakes. Patty at age six. Her first day at school. She seems to be in high spirits, but Ann looks troubled. Patty at age seven. Baby sister Cosette was born this spring, when the mayor of Maple Town came over for a visit. Patty at age eight. After being invited by the mayor, the Hope-Rabbit family comes to live in Maple Town.

Neat! I recognize the last one, but where'd the ones before it come from?

From a book called "Fantasy Book". I thought this was by far the most interesting thing in it. I translated the captions from the book as well.
I'm pretty sure this is the only time we get a glimpse of the town where Patty was born and grew up. The name of the town isn't mentioned anywhere, only that it is a "fashion capital" (maybe something like Paris?).

Wouldn't surprise me, given how her parents both have French names.
EDIT: Wait - the Maple Town Story Fantasy Book, right? I remember seeing that in a Yahoo! Japan auction. Wasn't there one for Palm Town, too?

Yes, there's Fantasy World (which I posted some scans from here), which consists entirely of toy photos, and then there's Fantasy Book, which has mostly anime art, but some toy photos too. This book has very mixed content like information about the town and its inhabitants, a short story, song lyrics, teacher's notes written from Mireille's point of view, horoscope and "secrets". Sometimes the information kind of conflicts with what you've seen on the show, but it's still fun to read and makes the world of Maple Town feel a bit more fleshed out. As far as I know, there is no book like this for Palm Town (only storybooks), but it sure would be nice if there was! That world and its characters could use some fleshing out if anything!
